Tunesday; Leave the Night On

It's celebration time! We are pumping up for
NYE with one of our favorite party songs
by none other than
Sam Hunt, Leave the Night On
.
Last year we rang in 2015 at the Sam Hunt concert,
 so it only seems
appropriate to close it out on the same tune!

Cheers!

Hollyday garland Crown

Today, we are bringing you our festive take on the
traditional Flower Crown, with this lovely
Holiday Holly Garland Crown!

There are TONS of ways you can make
this lovely holiday accessory and be creative.
All of your supplies can be purchased at your local
craft or hobby store.

Here's what we used:

wooden twig wreath
strand of garland
holly berries
white and clear glitter
gold wire

Once you have gathered all your supplies,
it's time to start making your holiday crown!
It's really up to you how you would like yours
to look so get as creative as you want.
We attached and held everything together
with our gold wire and used spray adhesive
to stick our glitter. We love the glitter and how it
gives the garland a snowy effect.

Happy Hollydays!

DIY Emoji Ornaments

It's no surprise that Christmas is one of our
favorite times of the year.
This year, we wanted to spice up our decor
game, so we came up with this FUN and
(semi) easy Emoji ornament DIY project!
Why not mix our favorite holiday with
our favorite faces.

You will need:

Clear Ornaments
Yellow Spray Paint
small painbrushes
various paint color (for emoji faces)
ornament hooks
pencil (if needed for outlining)
Protective Sealant Spray

OR, if you are really lucky, you can
find Plain Yellow Ornaments. Our local stores
unfortunately were fresh out, so we went this route!

To make:

Spray pain your clear ornaments with the yellow
spray paint. Allow them to dry for amount of time
specified on the can. If needed, give the ornaments a second
coat before you begin to paint your faces.
Once the spray paint is dry, pull up images of your
favorite emojis. Depending on your skill level,
trace the emoji face onto your ornament. OR, if this
is not necessary, start painting the faces onto the ornament.
When you are satisfied with your emoji face,
seal the deal with your protective spray to avoid
any chipping!

Happy HOLI-DIY!

Pantone's 2016 color(s) of the year inspiration

Each December we look forward to Pantone's Color of the Year
announcement. It's a little like having a tiny award show in the off-season.
Joined together, Rose Quartz and Serenity display an
inherent balance between warm rose tones and tranquil blues,
reflecting connection and order and peace
From home to beauty to fashion, we are finding inspiration
from this color everywhere!

When Serenity and Rose Quartz were the history-making
chosen two Pantone 2016 colors of the year, we were so impressed and inspired.
We love the colors and what they stand for;  together they are perfect.
