Rose Infused Cocktail + Ice Cubes

Roses are Red
Roses are Pink
Roses make a really great
Cocktail Drink!

Nothing says I love you like
a bunch of roses, and nothing
says I love MYSELF like a
Rose infused cocktail.

Today we're mixing up a
post-Valentine's treat and putting
those flowers to some real
good use. It's really easy, and
dangerously tasty!

We found some mini-roses at the
local store and decided to really jazz
up our cocktail drink by making
rose ice cubes. We just cut the
stems off, placed them into our ice
trays, and filled with water.

Now, time to add the champage!
we poured a generous amount into
our glasses, and then added about
2 oz. of our newly favorite
Wild Rose liqeur. (We bought
ours at Vom FASS)

Give it a little stir, then
sit back, and relax
and enjoy!

Cheers!

Strawberry Vanilla Ice Cream Sandwich

Nothing quite says "I love you" like
cake + ice cream!

About a year ago we found this cute,
little vintage cast iron heart-shape dish, and are finally
finding the perfect time to use it: Galentines' Day!
We decided to treat our Gal-Pals this year with
strawberry-vanilla ice cream sandwiches.
They were really easy to make and taste AMAZING!

What you need:

1 box of Betty Crocker strawberry cake mix
Vanilla ice cream
Heart Shaped baking pan
(Similar HERE)

How to make:

Follow the directions on the cake mix to make your cake
batter. Then, spray your baking pan and pour the cake batter
into each shape. Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until
thoroughly baked. Remove from the oven, and pan and
allow to cool.
Take a knife and shave the bottoms of your hearts to even
them out. Then take your ice cream and spread it evenly between
two heart slices. It may be easier to work with ice cream if you
allow it to sit out for a minute or two to let it soften.
Icing is optional, but it certainly adds a little something
extra... and it's tasty!

Happy Gal-entine's Day!

Homemade Heart Shaped Soft Pretzels

What better way to celebrate Valentine's Day
then to spread the love with heart shaped
soft pretzels?

You will need:
1 egg
2 rolls of Pillsbury Dough
Sea Salt
1/4 c. baking soda
10 c. water
cooking pan
cooking spray
wax paper

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
Take your 10 c. of water, and 1/4 c of baking soda
and combine into a sauce pan. Bring combination
to a rolling boil.

While your water is waiting to boil,
take your roll of Pillsbury dough, and lay it out on
your wax paper. Begin to break your dough into even
sections. Each roll of dough should make about 8
pretzels. Once seperated, roll your dough into long
rope shapes (just like you would if you were making
a normal pretzel). Now, instead of twisting your dough,
meet the ends of your dough, and begin to shape into
a heart shape. Be sure to pinch the ends to seal.

When you are ready, begin to boil your pretzels.
Boil about 2-3 at a time, so you don’t crowd (they will swell).
Bring the temperature down, and simmer for a minute per side.
Remove from the water  and place on your wax paper .

Take your egg, and mix it in a seperate bowl with
1 c. of water. Brush your egg mixture onto each
Pretzel, then place onto your greased baking sheet.
 Sprinkle with coarse salt.
Bake for 11-14 minutes, or until golden.
Serve with mustard or cheese!
