Oreo Krispie Lumps of Coal

We can’t quite wrap our heads around the
fact that Christmas is just 4 short days away.
We need about two more weeks!

That being said, we have quite a few gatherings
coming up, and now a whole lot of time to
Make anything extravagant.

These Oreo Krispie “lumps of coal”
are PERFECT! Not only do they take less than 10
minutes to make, they are AMAZING.

You will need:

6 cups of crushed oreos
4 TBS. of butter
Half a bag of large marshmallows
Black food coloring or black sprinkles..
Whichever one you can find!
We used sprinkles.
Good thing all lumps of coal aren't this delicious.
We'd have to add alot more people to the
naughty list!

How to make

1.    Pour Oreos into a large
                                                             bowl and set aside.
2.    In a medium saucepan, heat marshmallows and
butter over medium heat until only a few lumps of mallows are left.
At the step if you chose food coloring, drop a few drops
into the Mallow Mix to darken.
3.    Pour marshmallow mixture over Oreos and mix
well until all the Oreos are coated.
4.    Press mixture into an 8x8 inch pan and let sit until cooled.
5.    Scoop into balls with a spoon.
6. If you chose sprinkles, at this stage, coat you
treats with the black sprinkles to cover
the white mallows for a coal effect.

We bought these brown paper lunch
sacks to fill with our lumps of coal.
That way it could double as a last minute
office gift as well!
