Party Decos DIY

party garland

you will need:
fabric - canvas, muslin, chiffon, lace, etc
scissors
twine

how to make:
Start by cutting a piece of twine to the length of your choice. This will be the base for the garland. Then, cut your fabrics in strips of various width and length.  The easiest thing is to cut a small slit at the end of your fabric and tear it all the way to the other end.  Take your strip of fabric and tie it to your piece of twine.  there is no method to which pieces should go where or how long the pieces of fabric should be.  Get creative!

paper puffs

you will need:
tissue paper- color of your choice
scissors
twine

how to make:
Take your tissue paper {we used a whole pack per puff} and lay it out on a flat surface.  Take the shorter side and start to fold the tissue paper in an accordion style {"hamburger" fold}.  We found that wider folds work best, but you can certainly fold in any width.  After you are done folding, cut yourself a piece of twine.  You will be using the twine to hang as well, so make sure you leave it long enough so it will hang the way you want.  Tie the twine in the center of your folded tissue paper.  Take one end, and fan out the accordion folds.  Begin to pull the individual tissue pieces apart from each other.  Voila!

If you want to get creative, before you pull your tissue pieces apart, you can cut the ends to make a more interesting paper puff!
