carmel apple empanadas

what you'll need:

three medium sized apples
1/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. water
1 pat of butter
1/4 c. carmel
2 tsp. cinnamon
one can of crescent rolls

How to:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Peel, core and cut the apples
into small pieces. In a medium saucepan combine apples, brown sugar,
cinnamon and water. Boil for five minutes. Lower heat and summer until
apples become soft and coarsely mash. Remove apples from heat and stir in
carmel sauce. Allow mixture to completely cool.

Meanwhile, roll your crescent rolls into balls. Using a rolling pin or
tortilla press, flatten the ball into a disc. Place onto a greased backing sheet.
Once the apple mixture is cool, spoon a small amount into the center.
Fold over and seal the edges with a fork. Brush each empanada with
melted butter. Bake for 10 minutes or until they reach a golden color. Serve
with your favorite ice cream and enjoy!
