This season at Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week, I had the privilege to view the Ivana Helinski "Rotterdam" ready-to wear Fall/Winter 2013 collection at Studio 450 designed by Paola Suhonen.
Ivana Helsinki is an independent art, fashion and cinema brand designed carefully with soulful and savvy tones curated by designer Paola Suhonen. It's femininity with edge at it's finest. This ready-to-wear collection was inspired by the pinup girls of Rotterdam in the 1960's. It's fresh, bold, playful, and delicate juxtaposed with a hint of masculine details, featuring bright color pops and quirky prints and fabrics. Whimsical silouhettes laced with heavy outwear set the stage for this charming Slavic-Scandanavian seaside ballad.
